The Kabbalah Centre Makes Kabbalah Learning Accessible To Everyone

What Is The Kabbalah Centre?

The Kabbalah Centre is a non-profit educational organization that teaches Kabbalah to students all over the world. Its predecessor was the The National Research Institute of Kabbalah that was created in 1965 and founded by Rabbi Philip Berg and Rabbi Yehuda Tzvi Brandwein. The Rabbi Yehuda Tzvi Brandwein oversaw the early US Kabbalah Centres that were affiliated with the Yeshivah Kol Yehuda. After the Rabbi Yehudi Tzvi Brandwein passed away Rabbi Phillip Berg and his wife Karen began to reestablish and create their own Kabbalah centers. Visit Kabbalah Centre Website.

The early years of the Kabbalah Centre involved publishing books that would make Kabbalah more easy to understand and practice in the daily lives of regular people and not just religious experts. Rabbi Philip Berg published several books such as Kabbalah for the Layman, The Kabbalah Connection and Wheels of a Soul to make Kabbalah more accessible. He and his early Kabbalah Centre, which included a small following of Kabbalah students and fellow rabbis, also published works by prominent authors which Philip Berg and others had studied under. This included works by the famed Rav Isaac Luria and Rav Yehuda Ashlag, so that their wisdom could then be further transmitted and taught to new students. Kabbalah Centre Livestream .

Lacking financial resources and buildings with which to teach classes and hold lectures, the early years of the Kabbalah Centre saw Rabbi Berg and his fellow teachers barnstorm around the country, spreading Kabbalah by going door to door from city to city. The wisdom of Kabbalah also began to attract people abroad and the Kabbalah Centre made some early trips to Mexico, Guatemala and Canada to reach people hungry to learn wisdom contained in the Kabbalah.
