Doe Deere: a makeup line, three cats, and being unique

Doe Deere knows how to rock some bright and unusual colors. You could easily pick her out of a crowd. She is dedicated to her brand and has always been her own person. She is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of cosmetic line called Lime Crime. In 2004 Doe registered the name “limecrime” on eBay for her DIY fashion line. It stuck and four years later she used the same name for the thriving makeup line. Lime Crime is not only fabulously fun and colorful, but also animal friendly. The whole line is vegan and cruelty-free, which is certified by Leaping Bunny and PETA. These two organizations are dedicated to advocating animal rights.

Doe was born in Russia in the early 1980’s, but did not stay there indefinitely. When she turned 17 she moved to New York City to pursue her music aspirations. It worked out very well and she started a band SKY SALT, a whimsical fairy band. Through that experience she learned invaluable business information including how to market herself and balance her career, something that would serve her in the near future. She also met her husband in the band. They were both songwriters and learned how to collaborate together. The successful businesswoman also had previous experience as an entrepreneur, a pint sized one! In school at 13 years old she would sell temporary tattoos to her schoolmates. This means she has it in her blood to be an entrepreneur. Doe grew up feeling alone and different. She did not just follow the masses and was imaginative and colorful. She stayed true to herself and it certainly has worked out for her. Her distinctive style has caught the eye of many fans worldwide. Thanks to Lime Crime people all over the world can express their individuality in the way that suits them. They have hair dye, lipstick, eye shadow, and what ever else you could think of. The colors are amazingly pigmented and fun to use. Every piece of makeup is worn by Doe Deere herself to make sure it exemplifies the company’s essence and fits the brand. If it does not, it won’t make it on the market. Doe listens to her employees idea, which is very important as a boss. If you are not open to suggestions, you could miss out on something good Doe says.

The Lime Crime Chief Executive Officer is also a huge supporter of women entrepreneurs who are trying to get started. You can find her on Instagram answering people’s questions on how to get started and welcomes their questions. She also attends public events like Vegas Nay’s Stardust Tour and PHAMExpo to help mentor these young women. Trusting your intuition is vital to making your business successful Doe says. If she’s not in the office creating a new makeup, she is spending time with her three cats. She loves animals so it is very fitting she has three of her own named Chester von Battingham, Felix Fluffingsworth, and Puffy Fluffles. Learn more: https://www.limecrime.com/pages/our-founder
