Dark Hallways In Hospitals

“Venezuela seems to get deeper and deeper into the dark ages” says Danilo Diaz Granados. There are now shortages when it comes to the electricity in hospitals and small businesses. People wait in line at hospitals just so they have a lift when it comes to a way to move around. They wait because equipment in the hospitals is disappearing. When patients do manage to get to the hallways of the hospital, they see that there are very few lights, if any, turned on, offering a dim pathway to reach rooms. While some like Diaz Granados joke about the bathrooms being in the dark so that they are private, it’s not a way of life that one of the richest places in the world with oil should have to experience. Some of the patients have to maneuver wheelchairs and IV poles along dark hallways, wondering what they will bump into before electricity is restored.
