Brian Bonar’s Impact on San Diego

Brian Bonar is a Scottish financial executive and enterprenuer who is the leader of Trucept, Incorporated and has a background working as a leader for Dalrada Financial Corporation. He graduated from James Watt Technical College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Engineering and went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stafford University.

Bonar decided to begin building a restaurant mini-empire in North County by opening Bellamy’s in Escondido. He recruited staff from El Bizcocho at Rancho Bernardo Inn, which is one of his favorite restaurants. He was able to hire Trevor Da Costa and El Biz cook Mike Reidy as an executive chef from the establishment.

Located on Grand Avenue, the restaurant has earned a reputation as a luxurious four-star eatery that has a French country ambiance and serves culinary international delights. It is known as “The Hidden City” due to the high quality of food that is served and the top-notch staff that has been composed by Brian.

The views are also reason enough to write home about, making it a tranquil escape for those want to feel soak in the modern luxury of the establishment. Some of the top plates that are served from the menu include Native oysters, duck sausage, and monkfish with morels.

The Ranch at Bandy Canyon is another important part of the mini-empire that is built in North County with a 144-acre property that has a signiture restaurant. According to Bloomberg, Brian Bonar brought in a marquee chef, Ponsaty, who is a master chef from France. The additional investment that was mae by Bonar by building The Ranch has quickly made an impact on the culinary scene of San Diego.

Bonar’s specialties in finance include sourcing, private equity, and venture capital. He has experience building a long list of companies and continues to maintain multiple exectutive positions.
