“Avengers” Superheros Take Time to Visit Real Life Superhero

Ryan Wilcox is an 18-year-old high school student from El Cajon, California who has been in a long battle with leukemia. According to the article on KGTV San Diego, Ryan was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor when he was just three-years-old. Despite what the doctors said, Ryan made it past the age of five and the tumor was removed when he was seven-years-old. However last year he was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia.

Ryan said that his friends, family, and Captain America help him get through his health battles. He said that Captain America is someone who never gives up and keeps his spirits high. Ryan’s classmates attempted to reach out to Chris Evans, the actor who plays Captain America in the films, to see if they could arranged a meeting between the two. They knew that it would be the highlight of Ryan’s life. Chris Evans sent a special message to Ryan which was played at his high school during a special assembly but what Ryan didn’t know was an even bigger surprise was coming.

A few days ago he got the surprise of his life when three of the biggest stars in Hollywood showed up on his doorstep to meet him. Monday morning Ryan opened his door to find Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., and Gwyneth Paltrow standing there. They came in and spent around an hour with Ryan, chatting and taking pictures.
