Political fundraiser and lobbyist Andrea McWilliams has been a political influence in Texas for more than half her life.
She is also recognized as a philanthropist and humanitarian.
Andrea McWilliams began her career as a filing clerk in and around the Capitol while studying government at The University of Texas at Austin. She worked for a number of legislators, including State Senator Jim Turner and as Chief of Staff for State Representative Mike Martin.
Following a position with public affairs consulting company Public Strategies, Andrea McWilliams and her husband Dean formed McWilliams & Associates, Inc. which has been in the business of lobbyist since 2001.
The firm works on a course of action in the legislative and regulatory areas in support of their clients whether Democratic or Republican.
Andrea McWilliams has been acknowledged by FOX News, the Wall Street Journal, CNN, BBC and others for bringing her unique expertise to her fundraising and political strategic endeavors.
In the political arena, she has worked as a leading fundraiser for President George W. Bush, as an operative for Ted Cruz in his campaign against Donald Trump as well as working as a Texas co-chair of former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee’s campaign.
She was also named to the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Austin American Statesman Fortunate 500 lists.
Andrea McWilliams is a well-known philanthropist, generous contributor and community volunteer. She has been a board member for non-profit groups such as Texas Lyceum Preservation Austin, Ballet Austin, Arthouse, Rise Across Texas Challenge, Austin Children in Crisis and many more.
She has also worked effortlessly for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and KillCancer following her diagnosis and battle with breast cancer. Encouraging cancer survivors remains a top priority for her.
